thanks for the book recommendations. Conicidentally, I've just
been flicking through "Le tresor cruel de Hans Bellmer", some of whose
drwaings bear a remarkable resemblance to Francis Bacon.
Recapping a bit (apologies, but I mad the mistake of going away
for two weeks only to return to 726 emails, most of which, I hasten to add
were from you guys), I was wondering about the relationship between the
Badass, the Luddite and the comic book superheroes (Does anyone remember
those Batman graphic books, man they were sweet!), specifically as
Slothrop seems to embody a parody of just this notion (I'm thinking
particularly of the Metropolis-type scene in GR).
