Nearly a month ago this message was posted by Dave Monroe and I did sign up
for the e-mail from UT Press.... they sent out their notice of their annual
book sale recently, so I stopped by... it goes on tomorrow too, so if anyone
is in Austin you might check it out...

The book referred to later in Dave's message is on hand for $2.95, so I
grabbed one. It is:

Bat Bomb: WWII's Other Secret Weapon by Jack Couffer. The book documents
the development of a bomb that would have dropped bats with incendiary
devices upon Japanese cities....

A couple other books I picked up in the $3 price range:

Bakhtin, M.M. Speech Genres and Other Late Essays
Bakhtin, M.M. The Dialogic Imagination
Bakhtin, M.M. Toward a Philosophy of the Act
Palmeri, Frank Satire in Narrative: Petronius, Swift, Gibbon, Melville,
and Pynchon.

And a couple dozen other UT Press books...

Sam
