Almost forgot about The Trip (and the Electric Flac
sdtk. is on CD, exactly what you'd expect, worth
picking up if that's your scene), but see also, of
course, the AIP youthspoitation classic Wild in the
Streets (dir. Barry Shear, 1968). Christopher Jones,
Shelley Winters, Hal Holbrook, Ed Begley, Bert Freed,
Paul Frees, cameos by Melvin Belli and Dick Clark, bit
parts for Barry "Greg Brady" Williams and Billy "Will
Robinson" Mumy, plus a young Richard Pryor as a gay
bassist. Astounded the sdtk. to that isn't on CD,
although there is a track on that Nuggets box set, and
the vinyl's easy enough to get. Anyway, voting age
lowered to 14, pop star becomes president, old folks
(ain that Logan's Run sense) kept in camps and given
water spiked with acid (of the lysergic variety).
"Never trustv anyone over thirty." Answer to trivia
question: Marsellus Wallace's bar in Pulp Fiction is
named after WITS ex-stripper tambourinist Sally LeRoy.
Okay, gotta run ...
