When these traits are found in a TV sitcom character, such as Major Frank
Burns of MASH or Ted (the news personality) of the Mary Tyler Moore Show
they are funny and even endearing. However this persona in a real life
situation--which the p-list at least resembles--is not going to inspire
mainly mirth. More likely derision and bullying. That's just the way the
playground works. As someone said Doug in effect carries around a kick-me
sign. This is very unfortunate. I have no doubt that the persona displayed
in this case is not the real person. What we get is appearences. The essense
must be something else. At this late point in time I have little expectation
the true person is going to ever be displayed on the p-list. Hope I'm
wrong.
I suspect my own list personality may leave much to be desired.
