Programme on Channel 4 here in UK - History of Surveillance.
Talking about close, visible surveillance, intended to instill paranoia in 
the commie symp victims: FBI  , agent being interviewed claimed to be 
quoting Pynchon saying "Just because you're paranoid doesn't
mean nobody's following you".
Similar attitude to attribution that they had to choosing their targets?

The above message, in Eudora, just gave me two chillis, saying the message 
was "likely to offend the average reader. You might tone it down." !!!!!
The word objected to - paranoid (but only some of the time!!)
