sure. "in our opinion, psychoactive drugs such as mdma, lsd and others that
have proven therapeutic application, have been erroneously placed on the list
of schedule 1. we are working to correct this mistake on the international
level, and though in switzerland it is possible under current law to obtain
exemption permits, these procedures could be greatly simplified. in our
opinion, psychoactive substances such as mdma do not belong to the category
of narcotics, since no narcotic effect is in evidence, but rather, on the
contrary, facilitate the laying bare of emotional structures. they can thus
help in bringing clarity and insight into unconscious mechanisms, a realm
hardly reached by conventional methods. they have been of such great help in
our psychotherapeutic work that we see tremendous loss if these substances
are not made available on a broader scale", as samuel widmer wrote in the
early 90s. today the situation is, if i'm informed correctly, still pretty
much the same. for every (training- or therapy-) group, that wants to work
with psilocybin, mdma or lsd legally, the swiss authorities have to give
their ok in each single case. the sessions take place in the therapist's
rooms. no one, this is very important, is allowed to leave. in contrary to
gestalt- or body-work, the psycholytic therapy is not about expressing
your feelings but about staying with them and all these strange sounds &
visions s i l e n t l y. sometimes helping music gets played, though. most
of the time the participants be lying on the ground with eyes closed. the day
after the whole group comes together again to see what has been found out.
"psycholyse" is the therapeutic (or also spiritual) work with psychoactive
substances. in case you want to know more, you can read books by samuel
widmer, who is doing it for more than 30 years and a reputated man in the
german speaking therapeutic scene (its anti-pointsman wing, that is). his
magnum opus, which is also the most relevant in the given context, is: ins
herz der dinge lauschen. vom erwachen der liebe. über mdma und lsd: die
unerwünschte psychotherapie. solothurn 1997 (third, elaborated edition):
nachtschatten. or perhaps you take up the phone now and call widmer to ask if
there's still a place for you in his next therapy or training group?
