Karma

I rank Karma right up there with Superstition and Paranoia. They are all
fun things to play at believing in, but unhealthy when given free reign
in the psyche.

What I do believe, though, is that actions have consequences, and
hopefully this is what the Karmaniacs of the Pynchon List are really
getting at. The things our government did and continues to do to keep
the tanks filled in the SUVs create great havoc in the world. Yes there
are bad guys at the head of many governments and organizations, but
somehow we only go after the ones that interfere with our oil-lust.

And I resent the way that anyone who critiques the government is
considered insensitive to the thousands deaths on September 11th.
Killing Bin Laden without a trial will not bring one loved one back to
life. The way to end terrorism is to capture the terrorist leaders alive
and try them on international television, exposing their barbarism and
cruelty to one and all. Killing them either on the battlefield or after
secret trials will only create martyrs for future generations of
terrorists. Actions have consequences.
