Even as I get further and further behind in Mason &
Dixon now, did just pick up nonetheless ...

Jarvis, Brian. Postmodern Cartographies:
   The Geographical Imagination in Contemporary
   American Culture. London/New York: Pluto/St.
   Martin's, 1998.

Ch. 6, "Notes from Underground: Thomas Pynchon" (pp.
51-79) deals primarily with The Crying of Lot 49 and
Vineland. Written, apparently, too early to have
taken into consideration M&D. Chapters on Daniel
Bell, Marshall McLuhan, Jean Baudrillard, Fredric
Jameson, David Harvey, Edward Soja, Paul Auster, toni
Morrison, Blade Runner, Alin, the Terminator films,
and David Lynch as well (and that's just the stuff I'm
familiar with) ...
