Flash! Abdulla Weberni Killed by Errant Smart Bomb

Early reports from the Co-dependent Press have confirmed
the death this morninng of Abdulla Weberni, the famed but 
rarely seen Afghani rubabist and composer.

In what was apparently an accident, American Smart Bombs
hit and destroyed a cave complex in a remote region east of
Tora Bora, where the reclusive musician had been holed up since
the rise of The Taliban had forced him and several devotees 
into hiding. Weberni, noted for his experimental and esoteric 
approach to Afghani classical music, "will be seen as the end 
of a long line Afghani musical developement," said one professor
of musicology at the Kabul Conservatory- itself still smoldering 
from recent intra-Alliance squabbling.

"Some consider Weberni's contribution to have been the last
inevitable note in a dialectic reaching back to the Gandharan period,
about 200 A.D." the professor said. "Others of a more philosophic
nature will consider Weberni's death to have been his final performance,"
the professor was quoted as saying, "He has submitted himself
to history. He has paid his karmic debt."

Supreme U.S. Commander, General Franks, was on holiday in
the United Arab Emirates, and could not be reached for comment.
