not condescending fella, but the truth--read yr history. Banville in _The 
Book Of Evidence_ says somewheres that one wonders about the race of beings 
that were made for this world and goes on to wonder about how they are 
faring on "our" planet--he then figures that whatever planet was made for 
humankind, that other race would never have survived.
