You can't reason with these people, Barbara.  You will only drive yourself 
nuts trying.  The only thing that works is to provoke them into exposing 
themselves for the relentless sophists that they are.  And that is a thing 
that has no real satisfaction.  It is frustrating, I know, to see the words 
of truly wise people like Gandhi & Chomsky ridiculed and picked at like 
carbuncles.  These people have the same mentality as the leaders like Bush, 
Rumsfeld (real charmer, with eyes like a serpent), bin Laden (another 
charmer), usw.  Take comfort in the fact that nothing they spout can change 
your mind.
