MDMD Dust Cover

Here's another question about the MD cover:  I seem to remember the cashier 
at the bookstore showing me something like a watermark on the cover, but I 
can't find it now.  I think someone here mentioned something about a 
"disappearing ink" feature to the cover.  Can someone fill in my blanks?
