Too paranoid. A senior Pynchon scholar heard of the Playboy Japan
interview, my journalist friend in Japan bought a copy on the newsstand and
provided the rough translation of the article, which I posted.  I don't
think there's any doubt that this article has appeared in Playboy Japan,
the issue that contains it is in the mail to me right now, and several
people have actually seen it.
