Quite a surprise for me!

"...ascending like a Sky-Rocket, its appeal to the Emotions
primitive..."

You can hear the Anacreonistic Song on the website:

Some eerily beautiful sounds of the "Glass Armonica", over here:

Sorry if I'm jumping ahead, but hey... I spent my Boxing Day in front of
a big log fire, watching the sun set over the choppy, grey waters of the
Thames at 'The Prospect of Whitby". A pub, where many sailors set sail
on their voyages to discover the "New World". At the end of the 16th
century it became the gruesome setting for the public execution of
criminals and pirates, one of the most famous being the notorious
Captain Kid in 1701. A noose still dangles from the riverside balcony as
a reminder of The Prospects very real past. Not quite as bleak as "The
Fair Anchor", bit grim enough for the likes of our Mason.
