By the way, anybody else feel a little pang of sadness
at the end of this momentous Old Year? 1984, 1999
("Space:", "Tonight we're gonna party like it's"), now
2001 ... watched it last night for one last time in
its namesake year (why wasn't this thetarically
released?), soundtrack going today ...

And do see as well ...
Wheat, Leonard F. Kubrick's 2001: A Triple
Allegory. Lanham, MD: Scarecrow Press, 2000.

Again, imagine a less politicized, more filmgoing,
Homer and Nietzsche reading Charles Hollander. And
see as well Don Shay and Jody Duncan's "2001: A Time
Capsule," in Cinefex 85 (April 2001) ...

Hilariously crazed anecdotes for virtually each and
ev'ry shot in the film. But, really, what do we have
left? "In the year 2525" ...
