Speaking of return, Gottfried's entry into the rocket is described as a
return to the womb: this is a reverse birth, a return to the origin for
a perfect death. But of course the rocket is not a womb. It is a bomb.
This act of putting his beloved in the rocket (custom-designed) is the
ultimate act of Weissman's faith.
