... the evil of the Nazi regime fascinates alot of people, but yeah, even
more fascinating is the distancing that happens from them, as if it was an
aberration. And, well, it does represent a low-point in modern
civilization, so it's almost inevitable that they become a sort of vessel
for all those feelings we can expell from our own corrupt time.
... such as Baudrillard's early assessment of Disneyland (oooch ... a
stretch) as a place that took on all the false-ness, plasticity and fantasy
of America, to make the area outside its facilities safe for 'r e a l i t
y'.
... oh, and HI!, I'm Adam of Boston and I'm ready to admit I'm a
