NP: Feb 16 Playlist Addition

Joe,

for the past three years of my life I've been on a psychotropic diet of 
anti-psychotics, anti-depressives and tranquilizers. I was an extremely 
promising young writer whose creativity was aggressively thwarted and curbed 
to preserve my so-called "integrity". I've surrendered the medicine and am 
not only about to publish a book with poems written in my early teens--most 
of them penned when I was harassed to the brink of suicide by my demons; I'm 
currently working on my first novel, which is taking an interesting turn.

The pills numbed me to the point where I'd do nothing but sleep and 
progressively lose more and more of my autonomy. From having been a 
strongwilled and tempestuous little woman, I came to be no better than a 
retrospective vegetable whose daily routine was exactingly scarred by the 
hour I had to ingest another pill that would appease my spirits in the most 
degrading, undiginified fashion.
