any of you haven't read Ishmael Reed's Mumbo Jumbo, you really ought to.  
Not only a "secret history" of African-America a la Gravity's Rainbow vis a 
vis, well, a whole lotta stuff, but I believe Pynchon even acknowledges IR, 
MJ in some way in GR, and, if you've an older ed. of MJ, I believe there's 
also an interesting V-2 related photo reproduced tehrein as well ...
