GR Holocaust as Metaphor?

well, the nazis were good at their metaphors weren't they: cleansing 
"shower" for a dose of poison gas, Senior Spielbergo notwithstanding (that 
scene in Schindler still bothers me, dave), right? I'm sure there are many 
more.
