Amazon.com recently conducted a poll of its customers for "The Best Books
of the Millenium."  The poll is utter crap -- the actual choices of the
customers aside, they have oddities like The Complete Works of Shakespeare
at #16 and _Hamlet_ right below it at #17 -- but I thought everyone would
giggle, chortle, or perhaps harumph a bit to learn that _Gravity's
Rainbow_ is #69.

Also of interest to Mrs. Winsome, _Atlas Shrugged_, _The Virtue of
Selfishness_, and _The Fountainhead_ are all in the top 25.

Of course, the names, ZIP codes, and ten most recent purchases of those
who voted for _GR_ are available from Amazon.com, for the right price.  :)
