A Catholic-Jew named Benny Profane and a Jesuit with a flock
of saintly rats? Mundane? No, it's funny as hell, it's great
fun, interesting form all sorts of angles, but the right
books have to found if the paranoid history is to be clued
together, if that can ever be more than an interesting
research project. Take for example that book, mentioned here
a few times, The Secret War Against The Jews, Aarons and
Loftus, not a good book for this, it will connect the
obvious George Bush to the Harriman on One Wall Street and
GR, but but, Pynchon didn't use it. The City of God, now
that's book Pynchon has read, his interest in sex and sin
and holy angels and demons, the good angels hold cheap all
the material things demons are son proud (that deadly sin)
of possessing, well Benny doesn't want money to buy things,
he wants to get laid, horny devil, that moon, and what about
Saint Marx, Saint Bruno, Saint Max?

Remember that in the good doctor's office there are
customers, young Jewish girls with hooked noses, boys with
weak chins, parents whispering finances, when R visits the
good doctor to pay E's bill, but later, in the dream world,
E's nose job, the rouge gallery has been set up for her, I
think it's a set up, make her feel ugly, passive, flip that
switch, well here, isn't it possible that Benny has been
set up?
