Yes, of course she is not Mexican.  I saw a film
about a crocodile man, he comes to NYC, his American girl
tells him to watch TV, he says he saw TV once in Australia,
he turns it on, 'I Love Lucy' is playing, he turns it off,
he
says, "Yup, that's it, TV, seen it."
