One man's "misreading" is another man's "interpretation" or "reasoned 
argument" or even "stunning insight."

Too bad Charles Hollander no longer participates in this forum where 
he might respond to what you, and others,  say about his articles. 
Of course, his published work is its own best defense. I encourage 
anybody who wants to discuss his work on Pynchon-L to at least read 
it first, and I know that you have done so.
