Thoroughly postmodern Pynchon

Just a quick, general comment on various issues raised
in this thread.  Having come from a bit of an
information and/or systems theory, er, background
myself, and having stumbled onto Derrida pretty much
on my own (my literary upbringing was largely New
Critical), I immediately found deconstruction
congenial as perhaps a ... thinking through of
info/systems theory (not to mention the New
Criticism), and I suspect any similarities betwixt
Derridean and Pynchonian musings on such matters are
the result of similar, er, thinkings through.  My
favorite is Oedipa Maas' incredulity in sympathy with
postal workers over the notion of sorting not
involving any work ...
