Agreed.
Even in the Boygroups-corner there are differences in quality and surely
there's much, simply "bad" or boring, uninteresting and unnecessary music on
many 70's records too. But I would apply those three adjectives to most of
the pop-music of today, "covering" and stealing without mentioning the
original, and I appretiate contemporary rap-music for making this "covering"
of older pop-music stylistically obvious. And much of it is done with great
language skills.
