This is a case of the "unswerving punctuality of chance". Homer was actually
Matt Groening's father's name, and Marge was his mother's name. Two of
Groening's siblings are named Lisa and Maggie. Bart is simply an anagram of

much of the great black comedy of folks like West, Coover, DeLillo are
reflected in the mad goings on in Springfield--I'm sure the writers on the
Simpsons are quite familiar w/ the pomo heavyweights--I still say I once
heard Apu say that the Quickie-Mart was owned by Yoyodyne. d'oh!
