V erse or R ap o r  whatevah......
       The stuff I encounter today strikes me as commercial hook-em.....I do 
recall seeing artists on TV (and hearing them on the radio) that incorporated 
improvized "lyric verse"   I don't know....whatchoo gonna call it....rapid 
fire...very "creative"  (in my opinion), certainly not for everybody....often 
describing an "inner-city"/"urban" sensibility.    The "music" and 
industrial-derivative rhythms did little for me, but I do recall an 
astonishing admiration for their "verbal skills" (SAT Score 'round here 
anywhere?).
