"jbor"
"For those who came
in late, just daring to offer this interpretation caused Millison to slander
me over a two year period as a "Holocaust-denier"."

Hogwash. "jbor" and cronies have repeated this many times and it remains
untrue. It's an assertion that can only be sustained by rewriting what I
actually did say -- not unlike reworking Pynchon's prose in order to
manufacture a reference to rap music when the text actually mentions rock
and roll, ballad singers, and "Negroe musick".

When "jbor" denied that Pynchon referred to the Holocaust in GR and denied
Holocaust status for the dead and dying slave laborers that Pokler
encounters in the Dora camp in GR, I suggested that the arguments that
"jbor" was using carried echoes of Holocaust-denier rhetoric, but I didn't
then and never have called "jbor" a Holocaust denier.

"For those who came in late" -- "jbor" was much funnier when he/she was
claiming that Charles Hollander and I were surreptitiously hacking into and
messing with the Pynchon-L archives, trying to censor his/her P-list posts
(an impossibility on this unmoderated discussion list), beaming radio waves
into his/her head, and similar crimes.
