What is the charge?
Only by rewriting my posts and

If in fact he made this claim I would say this is a
misreading of the novel.
But not a gross one.
"jbor"

OK, this is good. With textual support we were able to
improve one aspect of one reader's experience with the text.
This has been my own experience here. This is one of the
reasons this list exists in the first place. I don't like
the idea that the new members here, so critical to the list,
should be subjected to this finger pointing and name
calling. Don't you think it will turn people away? Haven't
we had quite enough of this?

I don't think that's exactly what transpired. However, if
Robert took this position, not saying he did, he was in
error. But again, we have all been in error on matters like
this. The archives are not much help because there are so
many posts on this subject and one would need to read them
all. And even if one took the time to do so I doubt that
any meaningful statements of fact or truth could be
re-constructed.
PS I think the rap debate can be resolved very easily. All
we need to do is type up the pages from M&D and get them up
on the board. A close examination of the text will resolve
this one too, I'm sure.
