Okay, reversed the order (on topic first, then the
cheap shot), forgot about the totally unrelated feint
(I'm pretty sure I've read more about rap here than I
have about either Pynchon, poltics or the Holocaust by
now), but ...

Figured a standard and respectable source on standard
and respectable American English usage would have
sufficed, though I will note that I've managed to
extract a crumbling print ed. ca. 1973 that doesn't
mention the Holocaust at all. But, before you cream
yr jeans or whatever here, for comparison's sake, it
doesn't even contain "gulag." We're talking "handy

Actually, it seems to revolve around your dismissal of
any assertion of any relevance whatsoever to
discussing the Holocaust in relation to Gravity's
Rainbow ...

You only mention the subject at all ostensibly in
order to dismiss it, and seemingly in order to bait
Millison, and, perhaps, me on it. Over the past day
alone I've seen you suddenly (re)consider points,
readings, arguments I (and others) have made here that
you attacked a year ago, only to find that you had
been similarly amenible to them the previous year. A
biennial cycle, then ..
