My guess is, had I merely followed the instructions
above (see subject heading), my brain'd be basking in
a lovely wash of endorphins 'bout now, but ... but I
really want to get on with my evening in good
conscience, so ...

You know, what I worry about here is the idea that
perefctly interesting lines of thought, of discussion,
of whatever, must seemingly be abandoned, never to be
sopken of again, simply because of the inability of
some to deal with it civilly.  This should not be a
war of attrition.  It probably should not be combat at
all, but ...

But I have no intention of implicating myself on this
count here.  I've no problem with interpretative
disagreements.  My problem is dealing with incessant
badgering, with incessant insults.  A problem I
believe I share with Doug.  I think it's perfectly
clear when either of us (and then some) are being
baited here ...

But I speak up when Doug's being harangued because I
think he's become a punching bag here.  And a blind
eye has apparently been turned to the guy who's
constantly sneaking in more than the odd kidney punch,
and even the occasional blatant punch below the belt. 

I worry that this will continue to happen, to Doug, to
me, to others.  This definitely cannot be good for any
inetrpretive community.  And to the extent that I've
prolonged hostilities here, well, again, I apologize. 
Now if only others would at long last do so, and cease
provoking them ...

Doug and I disagree on much, but we're not ugly about
it, on or offlist.  Jbor and I might even ostensibly
be in some agreement here, and STILL he's ugly about
it.  I didn't sign on to participate on some sort of
wrestling card, replete with costumes, grandstanding
and color commentary ...  

Other than this one little problem, this has been
perfectly enjoyable, and productive, even, for me. 
I'm getting some use out of the books, I'm getting
ideas I might never have encountered otherwise, hell,
I'm even meeting people.  Okay, one more ...
