Okay, the danger here is, getting caught up in the
nastiness and not even getting to the good parts. 
This is perefctly productive, exemplary in that
regard, and, if I had the time left tonight (though
I'm certain there are those who do) ...

... but you all have Jeffrey's post here, I hardly
need to repost it.  Again, this "centrality" hubbub is
a distraction at best here, better to address the
questions of, say, if the Holocaust is a relevant
context for Gravity's Rainbow, if the Kennedy
Assisanation is a relevant context for The Crying of
Lot 49 (and I'd of course say yes in both cases), and
how so (now there's the tricky bit), than to haggle
over matters of emphasis here.  There's a whole lotta
text, a whole lotta semiosis to go around.  Thanks
again ...
