INTERNET: Activist Steals Web News "Oscar" 
In a cheeky stunt intended to upset the consolidated giants dominating
Internet news, a masked protester has grabbed one of the trophies at the
prestigious "Webby Awards" in San Francisco on Wednesday. "Fuck the
corporate media!" shouted one of two activists, as they stormed the stage to
snatch the bauble for News Coverage; Indymedia did not say which of the
hated corporate organizations was supposed to receive it. One protester
said: "Corporate media does not belong on the Internet. As dot-com valuation
continues to plummet, we hope to save our wonderful co-operative global
network from insidious, patent-grabbing, idea-owning mega-corporations which
despise free speech and privacy."
