If Italy's Fascist party is part of the current government in that country,
that's a pretty good indication that Fascism is alive and well in that
country, don't you think? Austria is another European country where the
fascist party -- Jorge Heider's, I forget the name the party uses for itself
-- has had and continues to have significant influence.

Sorting out the difference between fascism as it is discussed in literary
and historical works and as it is actually practiced in existing multi-party
governments may be a bit tricky, but it's certainly not impossible -- not
when real live Fascist parties help to put people like Berlusconi and Heider
in positions of governmental power and authority.
