The _New Yorker_ has a review this week of a new book called "THe World of
Caffeine."  It is somewhat brief (by, at least, _New Yorker_ standards),
but the review touches on many aspects of caffeine explored by the book
that would interest the Rev. Cherrycoke, such as:

'What this flood of caffeine did, according to
Weinberg and Bealer, was to abet the process of
industrializationto help "large numbers of people
to coordinate their work schedules by giving them
the energy to start work at a given time and
continue it as long as necessary."'

Also mentioned are Trotsky, Napolean, Feynman, and Joan Baez, FWIW.  The
