Dr. Strangelove Q.

Swiftly and greedily making my way through the new Southern book. In his piece
about the filming of Dr. Strangelove (originally printed in *Grand Street*,
1994) he describes the "famous 'lost pie fight'" which was awesome to learn of
its existance, I had never heard about it before. At the end of the pie fight
sequence, just before the credits roll, president Muffley goes insane and
General Turgidson says, "Well, boys, it looks like the future of this great land
of ours is going to be in the hands of people like Dr. Strangelove here. So
let's hear three for the good doctor!" It's been a while since I last saw the
film but I cannot remember this speech, I think it must have been cut out with
the pie fight -- can anyone refute or verify this for me?
Thanks,
Jeremy
