A Malaysian woman has survived her ordeal of living with thousands of
scorpions for 30 days.

Malena Hassan has now been crowned Scorpion Queen after setting a Malaysian
record and surviving seven stings.

The 24-year-old began the challenge sharing a small cage in Kota Baru museum
with 2,000 scorpions, but had another 700 added as 'a challenge'.

"Once you are around them long enough and they learn to trust you, you
become their friend," she is reported as saying by the BBC.
