Go figure. If we're going to talk about whether an essay of P's is "cranky"
or not, I would have thought that getting a definition of "cranky" clear up
front would be useful, didn't realize the dictionary was such a threat...

Wouldn't this have been a better approach to your query than listing
the def. of "cranky"?
....and can't we find a better way to employ the list contrarian than
this? Being that he is not only sincere, articulate and well versed -
can't we treat MalignD as the resource he truly is? Perhaps "use"
him to test our assumptions about P and his place in the canon.....

btw, did I miss anything since Murthy maliciously purged me from
