Actually, I agree 100% 

Your assessment of the SL intro is correct. 

I agree with Pynchon, I think he is a bit hard on himself,
but for good reason. I also think CL49 is not a very good
short novel, but this novel V. is worth every penny. 

I see Thomas E. is here, so I'll go back to working on my
big post, so  I can post it here. It is, Pynchon, Modern 
Poetry & the crisis of faith.  

Those short stories do reveal an awful lot about young
