I propose nothing. So what suits me are chiefly things that
I have learned from idiots. Like, that hearts are not had as
a gift but hearts are earned by those that are not and can't
propose to be smart.   Old dogs sleep in the shade and kick
their legs only in dreams. I'm younger than you. But my mind
has dried up of late, perhaps it is all this too smart hate
and the assault and battery we propose too much. An
intellectual hatred is the worst, I teach my kids  that
opinions are accursed and that a smart man or one that is so
professedly smart is nothing but an old bellows full of
angry wind.
