A History of Bombing

For anyone who's interested, Michael Sherry, a fairly prominent American 
historian, has written an intriguing book called 'The Rise of American Air 
Power: The Creation of Armageddon'. Perhaps his most interesting argument is 
that America's reliance on air-power is in line with its isolationist past, 
that America uses air-power in order to involve itself in conflicts and 
avoid involvement all at the same time (!!!). Kosovo was a perfect example 
of this. Iraq, too.
