Obviously there are some things in the essay I agree with
and others I do not agree with.  Also, sorry for the
confusion, but when I said I did not agree with the excerpts
you posted it was not this particular essay that I objected
to. In fact, I did not object to any particular essay or to
any specific claim in said essays. 

I posted this essay a long time ago, and I recall re-posting
extensive excerpts from it myself when Richard Romeo asked
about P's possible use of Gibbon.
