>From Mark Crispin Miller, The Bush Dyslexicon:
Observations on a National Disorder (New York: W.W.
Norton & Co., 2001), "The Madness of King George," pp.
77-96, citing here George Herbert Walker Bush (pere)
...

"Boy, they were big on crematoriums, weren't they?"

--After touring the Auschwitz Death Camp, Chicago
Sun-Times, January 29, 1992

... Miller, p. 82. He also mentions The Coalition of
American Nationalities: "An 'outreach' group
established by the GOP to help get out the Bush/Quayle
vote in certain ethnic neighborhoods, the coalition
was dominated by pro-Nazi emigrees, as the Washington
Jewish Week reported on September 8 [1988]" (ibid.).
Some references I'll look into ...

Simpson, Christopher. Blowback: America's
Recruitment of Nazis and Its Effects on the
Cold War. NY: Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1988.

Bellant, Russ. Old Nazis, the New Right and the
Republican Party. Boston: South End Press, 1991.

Okay, not much time today, so hit 'n' run ...
