I have to de-lurk long enough to point out that Michael Franti, the
lyrical half of Disposable Heroes, has went on to be the front-man of
Spearhead, who's third album was released in May. Granted, Spearhead
hasn't had anything resembling a hit (except perhaps for "Positive"
and "Hole in the Bucket" off their first album), but I wouldn't call
Franti a "one miss wonder".
Despite his hit-less-ness, he is still newsworthy: Franti was one of
the subjects of an article (on musicians and the death penalty) in
yesterday's NY Times:
