By the way, pretty much only got out of bed yesterday
to see A.I.  Awful, save Jude Law.  Eerily Kubrickian
shot with him in a sleazy motel lobby, otherwise ...
well, maybe Steven Spielberg would have been better
off not trying to do Kubrick at all, for consistency's
sake, at least.   Again, like the David Lynch Return
of the Jedi or the Peter Jackson King Kong (not to
mention Planet of the Apes), the Stanley Kubrick A.I.
is one of those alternate historical the loss of which
I mourn ...
