----------
(214) If he'd been the type who evolved theories of history for his own
amusement, he might have said all political events: wars, government and
uprisings, have the desire to get laid at their roots
----------
Meta-Profane (MP) tries out a theory. In it he distiguishes between
pleasure derived from animate V. inanimate sources, "getting laid" being the
chief source for those animate-pleasurists. But when he takes this
distinction and turns it into an economic/political theory it shows its
weakness in light of Stencil's earlier "impersonations." Money was there
shown to be the means by which a human is made a servant and,in the eyes of
the served, and automaton.
MP's need for money is for a dry, private place to fuck, not directly for
purchasing sex, but the difference is small even in his own mind. What he
describes is the Daisy Chain. "MUH-uh-uh-UH-neeEE, that's what I want."
The first five words of the above quote, "If he'd been the type," could
serve as a link between Profane and Stencil. The type described is clearly
Stencil. And the word "type" is no accident, possibly for many reasons.
Both "type" and "stencil" are reproducible symbols used for communication.
Profane is _not_ that type, but if he were... this would be his theory.
This gives us both a contrast and a link. Self-amusement might herein even
be linked to value-systems.
