Again, oh, Terrance ...


"Now this was all deliberate." (p. 223)

Again, Roony = Troilus, Paola = Cressida, Rachel = Pandarus, albeit
unwittingly?  But how does "the day before yesterday's shirt" and
uncombed hair "put Rachel in the mood"?  All Bennied (Profaned) up?


"'I think she's been slipping around, Rachel.'" (p.223)

"Slipping"?  Is that a slip?  Some sort of slang?  Dialect?  A regional
slurring of vowels?  Let me know ...


"They drained the coffeepot twice.  Roony drained himself." (p. 223)

This seems a frequent Pynchonian construction, often, as here, overtly
comic,  that sipping bwteen senses of a word ...

And ...

"'What are you getting, religion?'
   "'If I am,' Roony told her, 'it's all I'm getting.'" (p. 224)


"He walked back to his apartment through Riverside Park" (p. 224)

Which puts it where?  Significance?  Again, let me know ...
