Thanks!  This is precisely the kind of annoatation
(and then some) to my annotation I was hoping for
here.  And I figured you'd have something to say on
the subject.  But, sorry, just can't get that "argon"
thing out of my head now.  It's everywhere ...  

By the way, just had lunch with a friend of mine, he
mentioned that I'd given him a copy of Gravity's
Rainbow, well, sometime last millenium now, that he's
still afraid to read for fear that he'll be sucked in
the way we all seem to be.  His question, what IS the
fascination?  Let me know ...

But he mentioned he was meeting with one Campbell
Tatham later in the week, who, coincidentally, wrote a
nifty little paper on Tarot 'n' Pynchon somehwere in
the 70s.  I'd post the obligatory bibliographical
reference, but I can't seem to find it mentioned
anywhere at hand, or on line.  Do have a copy at home,
though ...
