April 15th, 1956, specifically, but, since the ratification of the Sixteenth

Apparently, however, the Whole Sick Crew all filed early, if any of them are 
filing at all.  Remember, Benny's not been working much, "Winsome had left 
work early" (p. 217), and who knows just what the rest of them have been up 
to during fiscal 1955, gainfully or otherwise.  Perhaps this is the occasion 
for the eventual party?  "Soon without anyone realizing it ..." (p. 225).  
And remember what They say about death 'n' taxes (not to mention Thurn und 
Taxis) ...
